exactly, i'm sure the mini store has its uses but i mean compared to the others... i'm sure the itunes recommendations thingo is great for some people, but if you could stream music that is similar to your tastes / the current song ala pandora.com that would be 'saweet' :D

I would hate this. TV technology is very taste specific, and Apple would have to get behind a single one. I like plasma, you may like LCD. Edge lit, back lit, 3D or no 3D? 3 color or 4 color elements?
I think Apple TV is the right way to go. A simple box that converts any TV of your choice into whatever TV experience Apple has in mind.

I am actually all for this. While I love my Ipod, I think that MS making a really good DAP will put more pressure on Apple and give us an even better Ipod; more original and more feature packed. When companies compete for your money, we win. As it is, Apple knows that you will buy an Ipod because it is the best, and in the future, that may cause them to get sloppy and not put out new and better revisions at a pace that will keep them competative. It is a good thing that MS is offering pressure- not enough to edge out Apple, but enough to keep them on their toes.
Also, I would love to see an mobile Xbox PSP-esque device, especially with a good line of mobile games with better graphics and design than the PSP. I know this is MS we are talking about so I'm asking a lot, but it would still be nice!

The announcer swings his hand towards one corner of the ring, "And in this corner, with the full weight of Microsoft behind it...a device that will play your music...it will play your movies...it doesn't even have too, too many buttons....it's the challenger, the mother of all iPod Killers...it's the one....the only...THE MIGHTY....ZUUUUUUUUNE!" "And in this corner, we have your undisputed champ...showing off a new physique...it's your video iPod!! With controls that simply...vanish...when you take your hand away?!?"

.......I still can't make, receive, send or get text messages or mail during any sporting event in my city. It was the same when it first came out and it is the same last week at the game.
And it will always be that way unless the FCC allows more frequencies to be used for cell transmission. Data is breaking the system. A cell tower can only handle 50-300 'calls' at any given time due to frequency limitations (you can only time multiplex so much...). Data is even more of a bandwidth hog, harder to time multiplex w/o slowing down transmission drastically. People also use data much more often than voice now (especially the iPhone). When you have 10,000 people packed into a small area for an event what more can you expect? The area is probably covered by one tower (or if you're lucky a few small cell sites in the venue).
Unfortunately extending and increasing capacity of cell service isn't as simple as setting up a wireless router. Takes a bit more work and planning than that. It's also hard in the US due to FCC regulations/state regulations/city regulations and high public opposition to new cell towers.

chrmjenkis awoke with a start. A foul stench filled his nose. He looked around at something that was akin to garbage compactor 3263827. Sadly it was lacking Lois dressed as a princess. "Come here." said appleguy123 as he grabbed chrmjenkins head and proceeded to cram a German speaking fish into his ear. Instantly the "blahs" became words. "There are intruders in the wash room!" the voice said. At which point a bunch of wolves ran in a took appleguy321 and chrmjenkins to the bridge.
"Welcome, I'm captain Bicardi and I'm going to play you some flute music." He then proceeded to play Queen. appleguy132, having no desire to hear such a multination of good music, broke free of the double sided sticky tape holding him down and tackled the Number 2 Worf. Plutonius, the only human on the bridge, stepped forward to detain appleguy231. But instead he got a swift punt to the head and stopped living.

Thanks for calling me a liar. My date moved, without explanation, as quoted in the story. The only thing I can personally think of is dropping a third line from the family plan. Other than that, and thanks to autopay, my bill for the remaining two iPhones on the plan is rather expensive, and always paid in full and on time, so the other argument is invalid as well.

my fear is the democrats will try to use this a political gain and that is so very wrong both to the military and for this good event.
It turns a great event into worthless BS. It was just luck of the draw that a Dem was in power when this happen and it was only a matter of time. I already am watching some people try to turn it into political gain and it makes me sick.
And if a Republican was in office when it happened, you don't think they would have tried to use it for political gain?
